Guard Training Requirements

The mandatory study program to obtain the DPS Unarmed Security Guard License.

Must meet the following requirements:

A mandatory 8-hour training course must be completed before applying for an Unarmed Security Guard license.

Training must be conducted by an authorized instructor.

A copy of the 8-Hour Required SG Curriculum is available on this website.

The curriculum of your training program must cover:
